A Visit to the King of Planets
Jupiter, the largest planet in our Solar System and one of the brightest objects in the night sky, has always captured human curiosity.
In 1609, Galileo Galilei peered through his telescope on a winter night and made a groundbreaking discovery: small dots in close orbit around Jupiter. These weren't mere figments of his imagination; they were the bright natural satellites now known as Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
Centuries later, a different Galileo, a NASA spacecraft, embarked on a remarkable journey into Jupiter's orbit. This scientific expedition unveiled a wealth of marvels within the Jupiter system.
This is a story of two Galileos, one a visionary man from the past and the other a cutting-edge machine from the present. Separated by eras, they both provided fresh perspectives on age-old questions, reshaping our understanding of the cosmos.
